How to sign a PDF from your browser

Step by step

Prepare your signature
You can draw it with the mouse or your finger, or upload a photo of your signature on paper. If you use an image, crop it and save it as a PNG with a transparent background.

Open the PDF in the signature tool
Select the document and go to the page that holds the signature line.

Place and resize the signature
Position it over the line and adjust the size so it does not cover the text underneath.

Download the signed document
Save the file with a name that includes the word signed so you do not mix it up with the original.
- Sign on white paper with a dark pen: it cuts out far better than a pencil.
- If the document has several signature pages, repeat the placement on each one before downloading.
- Add the date as text next to the signature when the document calls for it.
